In August, Spectral participated in Procemin 2025 in Chile, a leading international conference on mineral processing and mining innovation. Our representative, Jean Pierre from Holtec, delivered a presentation emphasizing Spectral’s contribution to the EU-funded DINAMINE project, which is pioneering a new approach to smarter, safer, and more sustainable mining.

Jean Pierre outlined how DINAMINE is transforming the mining value chain through automation, real-time analysis, and robotics, with the goal of optimizing resources, improving worker safety, and reducing the industry’s environmental footprint. The project specifically targets small and medium-sized mines, demonstrating how advanced technology can be applied in practical, scalable ways.

In addition, he highlighted Spectral’s participation in two other EU-funded initiatives – MineEYE and Persephone – which complement DINAMINE by advancing sensing technologies and sustainable practices across the sector. Together, these projects illustrate how European research and innovation are driving the global mining industry toward greater efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
